I've finally had a chance to listen to the interview. For me, the history of approaches at Reddit and Saidit is the most interesing. I've been at Reddit since 2007 as a member and recall visiting Reddit regularly in 2006. Today I think free speech is still so much better at Saidit than at Reddit, as I like to argue about politics, which doesn't work well at Reddit, and of course there is a tendency at Saidit for users to attack anyone who isn't a Trump supporter. Sadly, we may have lost an informative user, /ActuallyNot because he's tired of the attacks, and a while ago we lost /site_rly_sucks for a similar reason, as well as /HongKongPhooey. (Civil discussion could be promoted more.) Some users here will however enjoy arguing about politics, and the active users seem to know each other. I think I've been here 5+ years, as I joined before or during COVID.

Anyhow, it was also good to hear your comments on the Ice Poseidon followers and the Maxwells. Perhaps you thought of this after the interview: McGraw Hill was the publisher, which was a joint venture of Ghislaine's dad during 1989-91. As you know, Robert Maxwell also owned Macmillan and several other publishers during the same period, and he had been since 1984 owner of the Daily Mirror.
